Leaf removal with Sprout starts at $150. The final price depends mostly on two things: how big the property is, and how many trees drop leaves on it and how big those trees are. A small lot with a couple of young trees lands near the starting price. A half-acre under mature oaks and maples costs more. Here's what moves the number, so you know what to expect before we come out.
Want a price for your yard?
Leaf removal is quoted per property. Send us your address and a few details and we'll get back to you, usually within a few hours.
What Affects the Price
Property size. More ground means more time with the blowers and more loads to haul. This is the biggest single factor.
Number and size of trees. One young maple drops a fraction of what a row of 40-year-old oaks does. Mature trees in the older Noblesville, Carmel, and Fishers neighborhoods can bury a lawn several times over a season.
How deep the leaves are. A light scattering clears quickly. A thick, wet, matted layer takes longer to break up, blow, and load.
Beds, fences, and tight spots. Leaves pack into landscape beds, along fence lines, behind shrubs, and in window wells. Every one of those spots takes hand work.
How many visits. On properties with a lot of trees, one cleanup in late October isn't enough, because the trees keep dropping into November. A second visit after the last leaves fall is common. Our guide on how often to clear leaves explains the timing.
What's Included
Every leaf removal visit includes:
- Clearing leaves off the lawn
- Clearing leaves out of landscape beds and along fence lines
- Blowing off the driveway, sidewalks, and patio
- Hauling everything away the same day
Nothing gets left at the curb, so you're not waiting on the city. If you also want beds cut back and the yard put away for winter, that's a fall cleanup, and we can do both in the same visit.
Why Not Just Use the City's Leaf Pickup?
You can, and for some yards it's enough. But each Hamilton County city does it differently, and none of them clear your yard for you:
- Noblesville runs leaf vacuum trucks from mid-October to mid-December, but you have to rake to the curb, and a loop can take up to four weeks to reach your street. Noblesville details
- Carmel takes up to 20 extra bags a week during leaf season. Carmel details
- Fishers takes up to 20 extra bags a week, but only in April and November. Fishers details
- Westfield doesn't offer free leaf pickup. Fall collection is a paid subscription through WM. Westfield details
Leaves left sitting on the lawn for weeks smother the grass underneath. And burning them isn't an option in most of the county. See our post on leaf burning rules.
Leaf Removal Cost FAQ
How much does leaf removal cost?
Sprout's leaf removal starts at $150. The final price depends on the size of the property and the number and size of the trees. Properties with many mature trees cost more and may need a second visit.
Do you haul the leaves away?
Yes. We clear the lawn, the beds, and the hard surfaces and haul everything away the same day. Nothing is left at the curb.
How many leaf cleanups do I need?
One is often enough for a yard with a few trees. Properties with many mature trees usually need a second visit after the last leaves fall in November.
Is leaf removal the same as a fall cleanup?
Not quite. Leaf removal clears the leaves. A fall cleanup also cuts back perennials and gets beds ready for winter. We can do both in one visit.
